Open Doors

An ‘Illuminate Peekskill’ Project
Illuminating sculptures to light the way from the Peekskill MTA Station and up to Historic Downtown Peekskill.
Ms. Muss’ installation of ‘Open Doors’ at the Peekskill MTA station indicates a welcoming city, one that offers open doors through which all may enter, for all to enjoy. Composed of re-cycled wood doors, the illuminated sculptures point to memories of the past as well as hopes for the future. Peekskill is a city that has been a haven for immigrants from its founding by Jan Peek till today, offering a home and base for the newly arrived to benefit from educational institutions, for building family and individual businesses, for offering opportunities for success and for growth.
