The Impact of Color

This  exhibition is an exploration of how color plays an integral role in our lives  and our psyches. White: Red: Black, Blue, Red White and Blue +.

When we think white we think purity, of wedding gowns, shrouds; when we think red, anger, power, blood and sacrifice; when we think blue for authority, sadness, dependability; when we think black the abyss, the secretive, the galaxy.

Color has power.  We are surrounded by color—trees, flowers, a sea, the sky, the stars.  A child handles a crayon box with 50 colors, primary, tertiary  and they smile as they work feverishly on a slip of paper, a blank canvas.  Color informs and impacts our state of mind, from black, to white, to blue or red, to our clothing, our homes, our public and private spaces.
