An ‘Illuminate Peekskill’ Project
Illuminating sculptures to light the way from the Peekskill MTA Station and up to Historic Downtown Peekskill.

David Farquharson is the founder and owner of Farhorizon Studio, an exhibit design and fabrication company with over ten years of experience providing a wide range of services and capabilities.  At Farhorizon Studio, he produces works using diverse materials to create memorable experiences for viewers.  His work seeks to find unique ways to turn exhibit components into hands-on interactive experiences.  In addition to museum exhibits, David creates large scale interactive public sculptures such as the one now located on Central Avenue in Peekskill.

At the core of all his creative projects is the search for new and exciting ways to create engaging experiences with the public. His works are inspired by scientific exploration, the main components being interactivity and light, creating dynamic pieces that interact with the audience and the environment. The works offer opportunities for viewers to direct the lighting within the art work or to use natural lighting and the viewers movements to create optical illusions that appear to dance and flow through the pieces as the viewer passes by- making the viewer a component of the work.
